Youth Ministry

Haddock Baptist ministry to youth focuses on helping our students develop a strong relationship with the Lord and loving the people around us. Through studying scripture and through prayer, worship, and missions, we aim to teach our students how to establish deep roots in their relationship with God and branch out to those around us.  Haddock Baptist Church allows many opportunities for outreach to the community, faith development, and spiritual growth through Sunday School lessons and Wednesday night Bible studies.

Sunday School

Youth Sunday School is a time to delve into God’s word and learn how the Scriptures apply to the life of the youth today. Currently, Ms. Cathy and Ms. Jessica rotate the teaching duties. We’re learning the characters of the Bible and what we can learn from their stories, and how they relate to our spiritual journeys. We currently meet as a large group but have broken into smaller groups on occasion to better engage in the Word.

Annual Events

During the summer, the youth have opportunities to get together and catch up while school is not in session. The youth participate in pool parties, trivia nights, lake days, and game nights. The largest event of the summer is church camp. The church participates with other youth from around the southeast to share missions and worship in a corporate setting. Haddock Baptist Church has a heart for missions, and this allows the youth to meet like‐minded youth and develop lifelong friendships.

Wednesday Nights

Wednesday Night Youth provides a time of praise and worship with Bible study in which we can discuss in-depth the teachings of Jesus as well as dive into different books of the Bible. This gathering allows for youth to engage in recreational activities to encourage fellowship within the group. We have resumed in-person studies.
