Dr. Hambric Brooks, Senior Pastor

hambricbrooks@gmail.com

Dr. Hambric Brooks, is the new pastor at Haddock Baptist Church. He most recently was Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Forsyth, Georgia. He served previously at First Baptist Church of Griffin, Georgia and began his full-time ministry as Minister to Students at Haddock Baptist Church in Haddock, Georgia in the late 90’s. In a sense this is a homecoming for his ministry.

He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and completed his doctoral studies in Semiotics and Future Studies at Portland Seminary at George Fox University in Portland, Oregon.

He is honored to share his life together with his beautiful wife Teresa, who he married in 1993. They have four children and two grandchildren, Destiny King (Caleb, Lilly and Brooks) Statesboro, Georgia, Faith Brooks Atlanta, Georgia, Hope Brooks Haddock, Georgia who is currently serving as Minister to Students at Haddock Baptist Church, and Thomas Brooks who is a student athlete (Baseball) at Gordon State College in Barnesville, GA.

Hambric enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, working out, attending sporting events, and most recently is attempting pickleball. His passion is to help churches reach out to the local community and world. He loves to see people grow in their faith, love for Christ, and their neighbors.

His favorite verse of scripture and mantra for living is based on the greatest commandment found in Matthew 22:37-39 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38  This is the first and greatest commandment.  39  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” He believes that love is an action word and if we practice love as a people and church God will be glorified.

Hope Brooks, Minister to Students

haddockbcstudents@gmail.com

Hope Brooks began her position as Minister to Students on August 1, 2023.

Hope was raised in Griffin, Ga in which she attended First Baptist Church of Griffin. After living in Griffin for 16 years, she and her family moved to Forsyth, Ga where Hope graduated from Mary Persons High School in 2019. Hope then went to college at the University Of Georgia where she obtained her bachelors degree in Psychology in May 2023.

While attending the University of Georgia, Hope spent her free time investing in the greater-Athens community. She volunteered with Younglife for 3 years in which she led high school girls at Jackson County High School and later went on part-time staff during her senior year. She also served as a contemporary worship leader at her church in Athens for 3 years — Classic City Church. After answering the Lord’s call to ministry, Hope spent her summers exploring various ministry options in order to discern where the Lord wanted her after college. She spent summer 2021 interning for African Children’s Mission in Uganda and returned for another internship during summer 2023. She also had the opportunity during her junior year summer to serve as the Interim Student Minister for First Baptist Church of Forsyth, GA and it was there that she found her call to church-related ministry and more specifically ministering to students through church organizations.

Hope has a passion for investing in and raising up future generations of disciples as well as growing small-town churches. In her free time she enjoys working-out, singing, traveling to see her friends, and participating in outdoor sports.
