Rev. Amedeo Tritto, Associate Pastor: Music
Rev. Amedeo Tritto has served as Associate Pastor: Music since August 2006. Passionate about helping others find their voice in worship, he loves encouraging people to use their unique talents to serve God and minister to one another. He believes that music is a critical component of personal and communal worship and enjoys all opportunities to support the ministries of Haddock Baptist Church.
Amedeo has taught music in both public and private schools in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Georgia. He currently teaches middle school in the Jones County public schools, and is also on the music faculty at Georgia College and State University. He has presented and lectured at various music education conferences on both the state and national levels. Topics of his presentations have included movement disorders in musicians and routinization in the classroom. He is also a contributing author for Planning Instruction in Music, available through GIA Publications.
An avid opera lover, he has appeared in various operatic roles and has toured the United States, as well as France, South Korea, and China. Amedeo has sung under the direction of Riccardo Muti, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Kurt Masur, and Zdeneck Macal, and has performed with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance and a Master of Music degree in Music Education both from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. Amedeo also holds an Education Specialist degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia.
He is currently a candidate (abd status) for the Doctor of Education degree in Music Education at the University of Georgia’s Hugh Hodgson School of Music. He and his wife Monica are proud parents to triplets, Sophia, Samuel, and William.
Kathy Oxford, Secretary
Kathy Oxford has served as secretary at Haddock Baptist Church for 31 years. She has the longest tenure of any employee at HBC.
Kathy and her husband Larry have two sons, Daryl, who is deceased, and David, who lives with his wife Rebecca in Atlanta, Georgia. They have two grandsons, one granddaughter, and three great-granddaughters.
After 20 years in the military, they moved back home to Gray. Kathy enjoys walking and cheering for GA Tech, the Braves, and the Falcons. She and her family attend Elam Baptist Church in Gray.
